'STRENGTH OF MADIBA'- JUNE 11th, 2010
The anthem, 'Strength of Madiba' is a song that Suspence has been working on for the past year now.
"This song has gone through about 18 different versions. It took a long time for all the parts of the song to sound as 'one'. I wanted this song to be pure and come from true heart-felt emotion. It is easier said than done. The song is based upon a concept of sheer will, the type of strength the great Mandela has had his whole life. To me, that is the greatest strength I can comprehend. The song is about striving for your goals with an intense source of will-power and drive. It is meant to inspire and I am just glad that it will be out in the public sphere for all those to hear. "
SUSPENCE WINS TORONTO EXCLUSIVE MAGAZINE MUSIC AWARD
Nominated for Best Pop Song 2009, Suspence took home the local music award. The award was for a song Suspence recorded in 2008, named 'These Voices'.
"I am grateful for the recognition. It is always great to be recognized for my creative work. It came as a surprise, to be honest. "

SUSPENCE WILL TAKE PART IN THE 2009 BASS FESTIVAL
BASS Festival (British Arts and Street Sounds) is the UK's only month long celebration of Black Music and Art. Every June, the UK comes alive with a phenomenal line up of events, new commissions, gigs, exhibitions, master classes, showcases, club nights, theatre, conferences and film. The theme for this year's festival is 'Inspired by Africa and Africans."
Suspence will perform at the LouisDen Beat Cypher on June 11 in Birmingham. He will also perform on June 12 at the I DREAM OF FELA show in Leicester.

SUSPENCE GOES BACK TO AFRICA
Suspence is back from a promo tour in South Africa where he performed at clubs, schools, community benefit shows and a fashion show. This tour marked the first set of performances of his brand new material set to be released in June. The debut album entitled 'THERAPY SESSIONS VOL.1: The Assessment' promises to be a fresh new sound with catchy rhythms and lyrics.
